Wisdom Teeth Extraction
Nobody ever wants to get their wisdom teeth taken out. This surgical procedure has assumed the status of legend among Americans, in part because the recovery time can seem to stretch on painfully without end. At the offices of Dr. Meir Agaki, we take a somewhat different approach--one that has our patients recommending our service all over town. The pain associated with wisdom teeth removal is the same as that which accompanies any invasive procedure. Simply put, force is applied to remove teeth that are otherwise well-connected with your gums and jaw. The ways in which that force is applied--and the method of extraction itself--can significantly alter the level of pain you can expect. We take care to remove wisdom teeth while minimizing any additional trauma to the surrounding tissue. Much of the scarring and bleeding that can accompany this process can be traced back to brute-force methods that do not adequately protect and model the patient's mouth. Our approach is far more accurate, leaving you with a shorter recovery time and greater comfort within days. Wisdom teeth can be a source of any number of problems if your mouth doesn't adequately make room for their arrival. Removing such potential flashpoints for pain and infection is generally considered advisable, following a consult to ensure the procedure is necessary. We invite you to come make an appointment with L.A.'s finest dentists if you want a better sense of how best to proceed.
